Ways to Donate Get Involved

Over the years, the support of the community has been vital to the development of our programs, and for that we are extremely grateful. We welcome your support, whether it is a monetary gift, a donated item, or the gift of your time. If you have any inclination do some Community Volunteer work please get involved with Potential Place today.

Gifts

Your gift in support of Potential Place may be made in the following ways.

Cash Gifts - Gifts of cash are entirely tax-deductible and may also be made in honor or memory of a loved one.

Your employer may match matching Gifts - your contribution to Potential Place. Talk to your employer about how to do this.  We can also help facilitate this process.

Gifts of Appreciated Assets - These gifts, such as gifts of stock, are again always welcome. Please just contact you financial advisor regarding transferring stock. We have our own brokerage account.

Planned Gifts - Planned gifts allow you to fulfill your charitable intentions with many other benefits. Through your will, the establishment of a trust, or other estate-planning tool, you may provide financial support to Potential Place, supplement your income, and enjoy numerous tax benefits.

Donated Items

Presently, Potential Place does not have the space to store donated household goods.  Therefore we encourage you to donate to other not-for-profit organizations as we often access these agencies when our members require certain items.

There may be other items from which you feel Potential Place could benefit such as computers or office furniture. We have also received gifts of real estate for which we are extremely grateful.

Volunteering:

The Potential Place Board of Directors consists of a number of community minded volunteers with a commitment to Mental Health Recovery issues and the mission of Potential Place. If you are interested in applying to the Board of Directors, please feel free to contact the Executive Director to arrange a tour and a meeting to find out more about us.

Sometimes group volunteer projects arise during the year such as landscaping, painting, and general maintenance projects. If your group is interested in a service project, again please contact Frank Kelton at (403) 216-9249
